Violin Soloist Itzhak Perlman |
Born August 31, 1945 is regarded as one of the preeminent violinists on the 20th and early 21st century.
Perlman contracted polio at the age of 4. He made a good recovery he learned how to walk with crutches.
At the age of 10 Perlman moved to the United States to study at the Juliard School under Ivan Galamian and his assistant Dorothy Delay.
Perlman has appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show twice, debut at Caregie Hall in 1963.

Chang Is recognized the world over as one of classical music's most captivating and gifted performers.
When Sarah Chang was 5 she auditioned for the Juliard School preforming the Bruch Violin Concerto No.1 in G minor and was accepted.
She later studied under Dorothy Delay one of the best violin instructors at the Juliard School.
At the age of 10 Chang recorded her first album in 1992. Once released it quickly reached Billboard chart of best sellers. |

At an early age Mark O'Connor was considered a child prodigy winning national titles on the fiddle, guitar and mandolin as a teenager.
In 1975 at age thirteen, O'Connor won the prestigious Grand Masters Fiddle Championships in Nashville against amateur and professional competitors of all ages.
He is a four-time grand champion at the National Oldtime Fiddlers Contest in Weiser,Idaho 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1984. |
